I love the simplicity of this second-generation Toyota Starlet - aside from the wheels, exhaust and suspension, it's basically bone-stock and polished to the nth degree, which is a look that really works for it. That factory orange paint accentuates the characterful lines, with those wide puppy-dog eyes and ready-to-pounce squatting tail, and it really lets the chrome pop too.
Those wheels are period-perfect split-rim Advans - three-spokes very much in fashion these days after a long time in the wilderness - and rumour has it that owner Max has a few tricks up his sleeve for some underbonnet improvements. Keep an eye out for the forthcoming Banzai feature...
