One of the coolest cars at the 2015 Players Classic was Prakash Thanky's E21 3 Series. It's actually on the cover of this month's Performance BMW mag (I wrote the feature, in fact), and there's more to it than meets the eye: under the bonnet is an M50B25 2.5-litre straight-six taken from an E34 525i, and the perfected and smoothed body has been reshot in the original Polaris Silver. That belly-scraping stance is thanks to a custom AirLift V2 setup, and there's all sorts of cool detail scattered about the car; the single-headlight conversion, the 6 Series seats, the tweaked lights, the front lip... a very impressive car indeed.
Of course, as is the nature of modifying, it's a little different now to when it was shot for the feature - in the mag it's wearing BBS RS wheels, whereas here you see Dynatech Carline M2s. It's also rocking a natty set of pinstripes to advertise Prakash's allegiance to the Dapper collective. The thing just keeps on evolving and improving.
