LaFrog

Words & photos - Daniel Bevis

The emphatically-titled Ferrari LaFerrari is an outrageous and shouty thing. The hybrid hypercar marries a 789bhp 6.3-litre V12 to a 163bhp KERS unit to enable it to hit 62mph in under three seconds from a standstill, reaching 124mph in seven seconds, and topping out at 217mph. It's stuffed full of F1-derived tech, it's phenomenally aerodynamically efficient, and it looks like a damned spaceship.
Of course, you can always be more outrageous. And that's why Jay Kay asked Ferrari to paint his new runabout in eye-searing Kermit Green. (n.b. this may not be the actual paint code.) Officially, so says the Cat in the Hat, it's the shade of green that's found on the Italian flag. Well, it makes a refreshing change from the usual red, black or yellow, anyway...
