Last year's Goodwood Festival of Speed featured a number of unique creations from the Gran Turismo Vision programme; Aston Martin unveiled their DP-100, Volkswagen were proudly showing off their GTI Roadster, and Mercedes brought along the AMG Vision GT too. And among the ultra-futuristic lunacy sat this, Nissan's Concept 2020.
A number of people around the stand were jabbering excitedly about how this would be what the next generation of GT-R would look like, although that does seem a little far-fetched - but still, you can see where they're coming from - it's a 2+2, and it's got the trademark Skyline tail-lights...
But forgetting the hysteria and hyperbole, it's a phenomenal machine: a video game car made real, all severe angles and improbable surfaces. It's a genuinely astonishing thing to behold up close, and further proof of the inspired genius of the Vision GT series. And hey, if it is the next GT-R, we can consider that a bonus.
