SSBB first spotted this Frankenstein's monster at the 2013 Retro Show - click here, and you'll see it with stock Mazda wheels and unfinished interior. Fast-forward twelve months and we find it approaching a state of readiness...
As you may have gathered, this creation is a late-1970s Mini estate that's been squished, chopped and slammed to sit over the mechanicals of a first-gen Mazda MX-5 - twin-cam motor, RWD setup, dash, the works. It's now wearing ultra-wide arches over dishy split-rims, and all manner of custom touches including those half-moon angel eyes and that unmissable exhaust.
Really can't wait to see this finished - it's getting cooler by the day.
