The 2014 hypercar power wars rage on, with the McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918 all vying for the position of Top Hybrid Dog. They all make excellent cases for themselves, and the 918 certainly brings a frightening quantity of firepower to the fight: it's got a 4.6-litre V8 that develops 608bhp, and this is bolstered by a briefcaseful of electrical gubbins that amount to an additional 279bhp - so that's 887bhp all-in. It'll do 0-62mph in 2.6 seconds, 0-120mph in 7.2s, 0-190mph in 19.9s, and go on to a top whack of 214mph. Strewth.
Couple all of that with a matt black finish and the iconic, retro Martini livery - pretty hard to resist, huh?
