GRRC Annual Vehicle Display 2013

Members of the Goodwood Road Racing Club (GRRC) enjoy a smörgåsbord of benefits, one of which is the Annual Vehicle Display and Open Day. This event is organised for GRRC members, family and friends; they're invited to submit their cars for the display earlier in the year, and from over a thousand entries around fifty are chosen to be displayed around the circle in front of the house. During the afternoon visitors vote on their favourite vehicle, which this year was a gorgeous pale orange '72 Miura - a sound choice, I'm sure you'll agree, although the competition was fierce...
Amongst the disparate vehicles on display were a Pagani Huayra, a chic MV Agusta, the bold new Ferrari F12berlinetta and a Fordson Trackson crawler, as well as an early Noble prototype, a replica Jaguar XK-SS and Terry Grant's TVR.

The organisers set up a second car park in the spot that Festival of Speed regulars would recognise as the F1 paddock, where SSBB's roving reporter (and GRRC member) Mark parked his Mini alongside a kaleidoscope of Porsches, Alfas, Ferraris, and even a rather special Iso Rivolta.

GRRC members also get open access to Goodwood House, while enjoying a hog roast and a Punch & Judy show; there's a helter-skelter & merry-go-round for the kids, and a bar for the grown-ups serving that fabulous Goodwood Ale. All in all, a thoroughly satisfying day out.
