mkII Escort Sportvan

With the spiralling values of two-door Escorts, it's only logical that the four-doors are an increasingly popular choice for modifiers and, by extension, the even less in-demand estates and vans. But the van you see here is no second-best option...
Resplendent in JPS-alike livery and bubble arches, this Cosworth-engined track monster was built with the intention of throwing in some hot laps on the Nordschleife. And in addition to that rorty power, planted stance and beefy rollcage, there's also an acre or two of brown in the interior. Retro, seventies brown.
There was a full feature in the March '13 issue of Classic Ford. Photos sourced here.
