'69 Mustang Mach 1 Cobra Jet

In naming a muscle car, you'd be hard-pushed to come up with a more thrilling and evocative title than 'Mustang Cobra Jet'. Throwing a 'Mach 1' into the mix is just wonderful: 'Mach 1' is transonic speed, implying a range of 610-915mph. Woah.
Obviously a '69 Mustang can't actually travel at Mach 1, but it'd probably feel like you're on the way there once that 428ci (7.0-litre) V8 fills its lungs. The fastback silhouette, resplendent in gorgeous Gulfstream Acqua paint, looks like its approaching supersonic speed while it's standing still, and yet there's a sublimely sedate quality to that oh-so-sixties interior, with its taut vinyl and luxurious wood accents. All of the muscle car trinkets are in place - matt black bonnet, proud cubic-capacity badging, bonnet pins, racy wheels, window louvres, chunky spoilers, chromed exhaust tips, the works - and it all conspires to create one of the most beautiful Mustangs in the UK today. And if you'll excuse me, I'm off to buy a lottery ticket...
