'57 Chevy Bel Air

The 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is a staple of Americana, a timeless snapshot of an unforgettably glorious period in the chrome 'n' fins era; more brash than the Italianate '55, and less spaceship-like than the extraordinary '59. The '57 is definitely on the SuckSqueezeBangBlow lottery wishlist...
This particular example was found on a sidestreet near to last weekend's Krispy Kreme meet, parked up with the windows open. That's trust for you.
It was clearly fresh from a comprehensive restoration - the paint was a mile deep, the panel gaps flawless, the interior opulent and inviting. It was all we could do not to climb inside and make 'brrrrm brrrrm' noises.
