Patinated Volvo PV544

You can wash your paint off with Nitromors and wee on the bare metal all you like, but it won't be a substitute for true, hard-earned, timeworn patina.
This PV544, spotted by Seth at the Ace Café's Spring Riot, sits toward the extreme end of what's possible on the 'useable daily' spectrum; the story in Seth's own words goes like this:
US market car, imported to the UK many moons ago, in a garage since the mid-eighties, bought by a banger racer, decided it was too cool to smash up, welded in new floors and sills, lowered lots, fitted chrome smoothies and wide whites, made a sunvisor, drove.
Won at old cars.
