Ferrari Superamerica 45

Ferrari's Special Projects division is an ethereal and fantastical thing; a no-limits playground for the well-heeled and imaginative, those fortunate to find themselves close enough to Modena to have their dreams realised. And what pricey and extravagant dreams they are...
The car you see here, Peter Kalikow’s Superamerica 45, is a recent product of Special Projects. Based on the 599, it takes its cues from the exclusive open-topped SA Aperta (itself limited to just eighty examples) and moves the formula on apace. Kalikow already had a 575 Superamerica in his garage, so he suggested to Ferrari that a more up-to-date iteration might be a good idea. They agreed. Cha-ching.
It was actually a very involved undertaking, involving the reprofiling of the windscreen's rake, among other things. You can read all about it here.
