Alpine A110

The Alpine A110 is a classic exercise in giant-slaying. The sumptuously curvaceous Dieppe-built poppet derives forward motion from a diminutive 1300cc engine, but don't let this fool you into thinking that it's not a contender against brawnier rivals - the Gordini-fettled Renault 16 unit delivers 125bhp @6000rpm, allowing it to hit 130mph. Its light weight, and thus rapid acceleration, meant that it was a popular and successful rally car, and remains so today.
The example we see here has been fastidiously maintained regardless of cost, and is prepared to FIA Appendix K regs. Ready for Le Mans Classic, then...
