Citroën DS9

Big French cars don't generally have happy endings, do they? When was the last time you saw a Renault Safrane or a Peugeot 605? Even the relatively recent Citroën C6 - an excellent car in all respects; beautiful, clever, keenly priced - is demonstrably absent from Britain's roads.
...but the French have been upping their game of late. Peugeot's new 508 is a tremendously handsome thing, and the whispers are that its build quality is BMW-rivalling. And what's really going to upset the applecart is this, the Citroën DS9: a car designed specifically to take the execubarge fight to the Germans.

First of all, it's astonishing to look at, with more than a little of the GTbyCitroën Gran Turismo concept in there. Secondly, it's technologically smart, being powered by a hybrid drivetrain; a 225bhp 1.6-litre four and a 55-95bhp electric motor. The concept claims CO2 emissions of just 70g/km - not bad for a king-size luxury car that'll hit 60mph in 5.4s. It can be solely electric around town, solely petrol on the motorway, or both. Drive passes through a seven-speed dual-clutch 'box to a set of wheels seemingly penned by M.C. Escher.

It's designed for the Chinese market, of course. Everything big and radical these days is. Will it make over here? Who knows? But let's hope so - the car parks of our luxury hotels and casinos could do with a little Gallic flair.

There are quite a number of rave reviews on the Schwinn Turismo Swivel Wheel Double Jogging Stroller. One would think that these people know what they're really talking about. But, reviews on products can be rigged depending on who's paying the big bucks.
