There are a number of reasons why this shouldn't work, chief among which is the fact that while it looks like a C1 Corvette, this Russian build is only Detroit from the neck up. Everything underneath is from a Mercedes SLK. And nothing will irritate the purists more than that.
The wire wheels look odd and out of place too, but overall it does work - the high quality of craftsmanship is abundantly evident, and I guess you do get a certain level of Teutonic reliability from the drivetrain swap. But it's the fact that it exists at all that's brilliant - somebody bothered to make this, and make it well. SuckSqueezeBangBlow is all for wacky ideas, particularly when they come out this polished!
