Moskvich 408 IE

My favourite thing about the old barges of the USSR is the surreptitious American influences they carry; a smattering of chrome here, a fin there - some of the designs were pretty subversive given the constraints (and punishments) of the era.
Nowadays, owners of cars such as this Moskvich 408 can play up to these Western trends; scallops, flames, whitewalls, even a spot of under-bonnet sticker-bombing. The perfect tank to cruise through St. Petersburg, suckin' down Coca Cola and puffing on a Marlboro.
