JDM mkII Golf

It's interesting to see cars out of context, isn't it? From a European perspective, it seems kind of odd to see something like a Golf wearing Japanese or American or Australian plates. It's the different-shaped number plate recesses that often jar (although not on this Golf), like when you see an Innocenti Mini from the rear.
This Golf raises a number of questions. If it is a JDM model, why is the steering wheel on the left? Did they have so few imports that they just received German-spec cars? Who can say? What we do know is this: old-school OZ split-rims and a juicy wedge of camber look pretty badass on the mkII.
