Sierra Cosworth RS500

I used to have a Sierra. My abiding memory of it is 'tricky in the wet'. But mine was an XR4i - basically a detuned 2.8i Capri with a trickier back end; the RS500 Cosworth is something otherworldly and heroic (and something that I've sadly never driven...yet). It conjures images of flame-spitting BTCC battles, sideways mud-slewing on rally stages and protracted car chases on Police Camera Action. The ultimate boy racer car that the boy racers couldn't afford, its unashamed whale-tail, chattering wastegate and smatterings of mesh speak of purpose and brutality. And it's quite photogenic too, isn't it?
