Proteus C-Type



Classic cars with modern reliability and componentry are all the go these days; sure, they irritate the purists, but for those well-heeled folk who want to drive the cars their wealthy, eccentric uncles used to drive but don't want to spend quite so much time stranded on the hard shoulder, these things make sense. You can get a Jensen Interceptor, Jaguar E-Type, Bristol 603 or any number of other classics with modern engines, brakes, suspension, drivetrains etc, but what if you want something a little less... recognisable?
What you want is the Proteus C-Type. Built on an original-style tubular chassis, it features a modern Jaguar 4.2-litre six mated to a Tremec Borg-Warner five-speed, Wilwood brakes, a crisply trimmed interior and many original Jaguar components - so it's more a faithful-ish homage than a kit car. And it looks gorgeous.
