Karmann Ghia RS

The Karmann Ghia was designed as more of an aesthetic proposition than a sporting one; using the mechanicals from the Beetle, its swooping, handbuilt curves looked aerodynamic and swift, but it was really more suited to boulevard cruising than the traffic light Grand Prix.
Of course, all of that goes out of the window once you rip out the mechanicals and replace everything under the skin with Porsche 993 RS parts. Then you have 320bhp and a 190mph top speed. Sound far-fetched? Check out the build of this Ghia RS at Bader-Racing. These pictures aren't Photoshopped; this beauty actually exists.
