RAC TT Celebration - Goodwood Revival 2011

That, in the picture above, is Martin Brundle driving Nick Mason's Ferrari 250 GTO. And it doesn't get a lot more exciting than that.
...except that this is Goodwood, so unexpected excitement is always guaranteed. With blue skies and sunshine at the start of the race providing some hideous glare from the still-sodden track surface, the Shelby Daytona Coupe of Kristensen & Brack took an early lead while the multi-million pound grid found its feet in the grease; a lead it maintained until its emphatic victory. The aforementioned Brundle shared the drive with Mark Hales, steering the Mason GTO to a hard-fought second place. As the heavens opened midway through the race, lights blazed, tails slid and spectators saturated as the racers struggled to find grip in, in many cases, someone else's priceless motor car. The race was rained off five minutes before time, sealing the Daytona Coupe's podium honours before anything expensive got seriously broken. And it really doesn't get a lot more exciting than that.
