Frankenstein's Escort

The old Ford scene is often criticised for being formulaic, but there's nothing orthodox about Fredrik Pettersson's 1974 1300L. For a start, it's got 522bhp at the wheels, coming from an Audi five-pot with a standalone ECU, running through BMW M3 transmission. The suspension, rollcage and extended bodywork were all built by Petterson, and he even painted it himself. This is a man with vision, but also the skills to do it all himself; annoyingly, he's only 24 and he's never done anything like this before. Inspired? Read more here, then give it a go yourself. What could possibly go wrong...?
