Rover Vitesse on the Isle of Man

Lapping the Isle of Man's TT circuit at an average of 100mph is very impressive on a bike. Doing it in a car is even harder...
In 1990 Tony Pond attempted to be the first person to do just that in a standard production road car, for some reason choosing to drive a Rover 827 Vitesse. The footage (although overdubbed with some godawful uhn-tiss uhn-tiss music) is mightily impressive.

You never saw Alan Partridge doing that.
