Onboard with Jim Clark & Jackie Stewart

With modern motor racing, we're spoiled for choice in terms of camera angles - we have helicopters hovering above, cameras all over the car, super slo-mo replays... but in the sixties such luxuries were sparse, to say the least. Behold with wonder, then, this fascinating on-board footage of Jim Clark driving a Lotus 25 around Oulton Park in 1963. Marvel at his circular steering wheel! Goggle at how he changes gear using a conventional lever!

Fast forward to 1978 and we find Jackie Stewart driving a Tyrrel 008 around the tightly twisting streets of Monaco - a circuit that's more than familiar to any motor racing fan, but seems a lot scarier when you consider the lack of crash structures, Hans devices and the like.
