Twingo V8

Clio V6 a bit tame for you? How about something smaller with a bigger engine? Say, a Twingo with a Range Rover V8?

Drift perfection

Two things define a truly epic piece of drifting:
1 - getting so sideways, you're pretty much going backwards
2 - effusive Japanese commentary.

Behold.

BMW X5: indestructible

Brilliant. You can drive like a total dick at no cost to yourself.

Nash Metropolitan dragster

You'd feel a little, er, unstable in this, wouldn't you? It's the very definition of 'too much engine'... and that's an extremely good thing.

XXXXXXX

Via Jalopnik:
Scottie Roberson's nickname is "Racer X" so he secured the license plate "XXXXXXX" for his truck. Unfortunately, the plate and a glitch in a parking ticket system led to him receiving $19,000 in erroneous tickets.

Gran Turismo for PSP: horrifying

This ad, featuring an '88 Countach and a '69 Corvette swapping paint in an alarming manner, makes me feel a little queasy. Show some respect, Sony!

Ex-CCX

The Koenigsegg CCX is a rare beast - just 25 of them are built per year, and you need to stump up pretty much double the $500k sticker price to get hold of one. Imagine how vexed you'd be if your dealer decided to take your CCX out for a test drive and wanged it into a 911 GT2...

Pit fire at Interlagos '09

Safety cars don't make the pit lanes any safer...

GT2 action at Laguna Seca

Thanks to Gran Turismo, most people know Laguna Seca like the back of their hand. So you get a bit of a giddy thrill to see racing there - particularly when it's of this quality... the Corvette crosses the finish line in the most exciting way imaginable. Who says close racing is a thing of the past?

205 ultradonuts

This is just crazy. It's impressive that he doesn't have to throw up afterwards...

4x4 Fiesta V8

Crazy off-roader mashups are always welcome at SuckSqueezeBangBlow. Check out this crazy bastard - Range Rover chassis and running gear (including that all-important V8), made a little more retro Ford-friendly with the body of a mkI Fiesta. It's the kind of thing that there's absolutely no point building, which is what makes it so wonderful - it's taxed, MOT'ed and ready to go too. Want it? Click here.

General Lee Bentley

A Continental Flying Spur... with General Lee livery... and Daisy Duke's arse on the boot. There are no words.
(Except 'why?', obviously. And 'shite'.)
Linky

Harry Flatters Rally '09 - in-car

Julian Reynolds and Ian Oakey showing how it's done.

CYCOV8

An interesting little tale about the adventures of a lovely Cortina.

**spoiler** - ends in misfortune.

Whale penis leather

The snappily-named Dartz Prombron Monaco Red Diamond Edition is the weapon of choice for the modern Russian plutocrat. What do you get for your $1.5m? Bulletproof glass, bulletproof 22" wheels, a tungsten exhaust, dials encrusted with diamonds, ruby and diamond badges (they'll be the first bits to get nicked, obviously), Kevlar coating, a Vertu mobile with a panic button, three bottles of RussoBaltique Vodka - the world's most expensive vodka (seriously) and, of course, seats trimmed in whale penis leather.

Check out their website here to see more exclamation marks than you could ever dream of.

'China Edition' 599

Ferrari, in partnership with artist Lu Hao, have created a limited run of 'China Edition' 599 GTBs. As well as bespoke luggage featuring an embroidered representation of the Silk Road trade route and a jade green glowing starter button, you get superbly cool ancient Xiao Zhuan characters on the rev counter. One of the dozen cars - see below - has been hand-finished in a cracked glazed porcelain effect finish. It isn't obvious why.

Biarritz burnout

The Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz is a design classic - an enormous slice of Americana that, if you see one today, will undoubtedly be in pristine condition.

Interesting, then, to see one donutting...

Evo on the rollers

Anti-lag: it'll kill your exhaust, but it sounds brilliant.

Jerome Miller's final run

Jerome Miller had been drag-racing since the fifties... so it was only fitting that his final journey would be up the quarter-mile. The hearse, casket in the rear, posted a time of 45s @27mph.

Volkswagen Skyline

An interesting concotion created as a shadow for the hero car in The Fast & The Furious 4 - it's an R34 Skyline shell over VW Beetle running gear. Why? Well, why not?

LG - 'Cars'

A lovely new ad for LG. Doesn't make me want a phone, but the animation is very pretty.

British Leyland vs Top Gear

A challenge that's worth re-visiting - Clarkson in an SD1, Hammond in a Dolomite and May in a Princess. Genuinely odd viewing.

Burnout fail

This is just brilliant. I love the way his 'concerned' mate casually saunters over to the Ram, filming the whole way.

Swedish Batmobile

The world needs more of this kind of thing.
Swedish nutjob fancies a Batmobile, inexplicably starts with a 1973 Lincoln Continental, spends a million dollars in the process. Bonkers.

It's worth every cent.
