NASCAR and Formula 1 sit pretty much at opposite ends of the motorsport technology spectrum. Interesting, then, that an all-new F1 team, due to debut in 2010, will be operating right from the heart of NASCAR country - in Charlotte, North Carolina.
In a time of great turmoil for Formula 1 (with Honda having pulled out, and the FIA even considering allowing teams to run extra cars just to fill up the grid), the USF1 team - slogan: 'Made in America' - aim to showcase stateside technology and manufacturing skills. Oh, and they'll probably try to win a few races too...
Their website is a bit slim on the details at the moment, but expect a full unveiling in the near future.
