EDAG Light Car

Engineering & Design AG will be debuting this new concept in March. The 'Light Car' is pretty much covered in LEDs so that the driver can communicate messages to other motorists beyond the standard 'I'm slowing down'/'I'm turning', as well as configuring the lights to alter the perception of what shape the car actually is using clever mind games and trickery. In addition to this it has an all-electric drivetrain that'll do 150km per charge, and it's made from basalt fibre, which is as strong as carbon fibre but is also 100% recyclable.

Brilliantly designed, I must say. Communication is one way to prevent or lessen accidents on the road.
